I'm Nico (he/him). I'm agender, pansexual and autistic.

I like food, spiders and big titties.
I'm a retro game nerd, occasional artist, writer & musician.
Did I mention I really, really like big titties.

After quite some time, I've decided to carve out a little place online for myself once again. I've found the landscape of the Internet to become increasingly hostile and have become uncomfortable engaging with most of it. I feel the need to present a curated, perfect version of myself on any given platform, and the reality is that I'm an unmarketable, scrunkly little mess.

My intention is to create a space where I can be unapologetically myself, whilst also delivering content directly to you.

I'm Nico (he/him), a furry from the UK born in 1991.
I don't want to give you my life story, but I'll give enough to let you know who I am a bit better.

Furry

I've been an active participant in the furry fandom since around 2009, so I guess that's kind of a big deal? While I don't really consider it a super important part of my personality (I haven't attended a convention or meetup since before covid, I don't own a fursuit, etc.), it's been an invaluable tool to the way I present myself and explore my identity. I feel like furry has been the perfect "language" through which to describe my experiences as they evolve with me, and I've had many different "fursonas" over time as a result.

The furry fandom has also been responsible for sparking my creativity for quite some time. I don't think I'd be nearly as interested in art or writing otherwise. I have a lot of fun designing characters or coming up with lore for them and I think the fact that they're animals may be intrinsic to my interest? I just feel I can be a lot more fantastical with those kinds of designs than I ever could with human characters, I suppose.

Sex (for lack of a better term)

I've come to accept being openly sexual as part of my character. Whilst exploring my gender identity and sexuality, I found the core physical sensations and desires to be the best way for me to figure things out. That's not to say it's an entirely physical affair - far from it - moreso the ability to roleplay out scenarios and ideas I was unsure about, and have open discussions about more intimate things with others. The fact that the furry fandom offers such a sexually open and safe space to explore such things has definitely been a plus!

Strangely, I've found sex to be a very safe and comfortable feeling subject, and perhaps it's an autistic thing but I find it easier to discuss the more primal aspects of myself than I do anything else. Realising this has made me want to be more open about things, and contribute towards the adult aspects of community. This has led to a majority of my work focusing on kinks and sexual themes, and though I do want to make less mature content also, I don't feel like adult stuff is of any less value or reputability.

Sometimes I'll feel conscious about how open I am, and I'm aware that my openness is linked to my insecurities both socially and with my own identity. I'm doing my best to be unashamed of myself and my work, there's a space for it in this world and if I'm doing stuff that makes people happy or helps them to figure out themselves in turn, that's all I could ever hope for.

Gamer

I really do not consider myself a "gamer" at all lmao

The fact of the matter is, video games take up a lot of my thought space and time. I feel like I don't even play that much, and spend more time thinking about or researching game related stuff. I go back to a handful of games and tend to have an encyclopaedic knowledge of them inside and out.

I'm mostly interested in retro games, specifically the things I grew up with (SEGA Master System to Dreamcast, Nintendo handhelds) though I do like to discover new things on platforms I never owned. The first online communities I can remember interacting with were based around Sonic the Hedgehog, and I ended up getting pretty involved with the more technical aspects of those games, learning how to hack and reverse engineer the ROMs. I could probably run a several hour long lecture about the history of Sonic 2 alone, so that gives you some insight into just how deep and specific my interests can go!

Besides that, the kinds of games I like tend to fall into similar categories - if there's a lot of stuff that I can learn about the worlds and characters or even the mechanics themselves, it's probably going to be something I enjoy. To be more specific though, my tastes usually lean towards JRPG, Strategy, Fighting and Arcade type games.

Outside of actually playing games, I enjoy modifying and personalising my systems. I've added backlights to Gameboys, swapped out the disc drive in my GameCube for an SD card reader, and most recently built a Raspberry Pi based console, just to name a few things. I very much enjoy playing things on their original hardware wherever possible, and the modifications help to modernise and streamline that experience.

Blogging with Joe Bloggs

One could use this setup to write a blog short updates. For images make sure to use the loading="lazy" attribute, so they get loaded only when needed. You might be able to use it for iframe embeds too(?), but maybe just write a link to the Youtube video instead.
